Double billing for personal injury protection

Michigan is one of three states where the “no-fault” automobile insurance requires each of us to carry and pay for personal injury protection, even if it is mostly a duplication of other coverage we may have.

Apparently in 47 of the other states, I could have saved that money. But not in Michigan, Florida or New Jersey.

And our United States Congress has passed a law that requires that the auto coverage be primary and pay instead of Medicare when it is carried on the auto policy.
